This weekend I decided to come home and see mom and dad. Well I offered to bring one of my sisters kids with me, and the only one she offered was little Emily, 2 years old. I said sure whatever. So we packed and were off. She did great the first half of the trip talking, watching out the window, listening, reading books, eating snacks, perfect back seat rider you could ask for!
We were driving along and we saw a train, I said, "Emily look at that long train!" I saw her look at it and she thought it was cool! Then I heard liquid and I thought she spilled her water she was then drinking. I looked back (with the help of my other rider Melyssa) she said, "uh oh" I said, "oh no did she spill her water?" She said "no she threw up, and oh there she goes again." A few seconds go by and she says "oh there is more. oh no here you go." Poor Melyssa was helping Emily throw up in the ONE bag we had in the car. Luckily, we were just hitting Glenns Ferry and I took the exit and stopped as well and as fast as I could right off the exit and she had just finished throwing up and we stopped for about twenty minutes to clean up as best as we could so we could hurry home and be in more comfortable settings if she needed to be sick and/or throw up again. Luckily we were able to clean up Most of the mess. And thankfully I am a boy scout and prepared and had wipes and Germ-X in the car! ;) we drove as fast as we could to get to my mom's house to clean up ourselves, and wash our hands and clothes, and the car.
It was an eventful ride, but fun. Just remember it could of been worse!
I feel so bad for my friend Melyssa that was riding with me and had to deal with that. I hope she was able to get thoroughly cleaned up when I dropped her off.
Poor Emily has been so lonely (asking for "Lila" aka older sister Lydia to play with),and bored and sad and homesick this weekend. But she is still having fun and being spoiled :)
She can't wait to get home and see her mom :)
