Baby Duke

I know it has taken me forever to get this blog post up but we have been quite busy this week with being in the hospital, coming home, dr visits, adjusting to life, and needing a day/afternoon of rest to catch up while Aunt Terressa (my sister) came up and watched Hannah while we napped for a few hours (THANK YOU)!!

Sorry I'm going to write my pregnancy/labor and delivery story...

The last week of pregnancy I think was the hardest for me. Physical pain, just wanting to be done, anxious, tired, uncomfortable etc.
I went to the Dr. and was dilated at a two.  He told me if nothing happens by next week I would pick a day and be induced.  We thought 'cool, we will probably get to pick her due date'; so we started deciding what day we would like.
No contractions all week so we thought for sure would be induced.

Conference weekend came and still no contractions.  Conference was amazing by the way! The whole time during conference I thought this is my last conference without kids. Weird.

Easter Sunday morning was nice we gave each other our Easter baskets and spoiled each other with a few items and lots of candy!! :)

Sunday afternoon came and went and still no contractions.  My next appt. was the next day (Monday) April 6th at 11am and we would tell the Dr. what we wanted to do.  I even had a friend text me at about 4 pm and I had to tell her nothing was happening with baby.
Sunday night about 8 pm still nothing.  I'm still miserable.
Sunday night 8:45 I thought I needed to use the restroom and had some pain.
Sunday 9 pm more severe stomach pain
Sunday 9:15 pm we were timing my contractions and they were about 4 min. apart.
Sunday 9:45 pm SEVERE pain and contractions were about 3 1/2 min. apart.
Sunday 10 pm grabbed my bag and headed for the hospital; hoping they wouldn't send me home and that I wouldn't be coming home for a few days.
We rushed to the ER and checked in.
The nurse checked me and I was dilated at a 5!  They monitored me for a little bit, then moved me to the delivery room.
I received my epidural about 11:30 pm
The nurse let me sleep for a few hours after that.  She came in and asked if I was ready to push...I laughed and said NOPE. she chuckled and said ok I'll give you a few more minutes.
She came back in and said ok you ready.  I said no, haha.  She chuckled again and said well the sooner we push the sooner you will be done :) (I really didn't want to go through anymore pain and was scared to do the whole delivery part).  She knew that but her and Mike both said let's just do this :)
So we started pushing and pushed for about 2 hours.  Mike had to hold my right leg because it was so numb from the epidural.  They called in the Dr.  (he only lives 7 minutes away),  he got his gown on got a few instruments out and I had about two contractions and she was out!! It literally took about five minutes from when he showed up.

During delivery he noticed there wasn't quite enough room so he did have to cut me open a tad and place a few stitches.  So of course just from delivering I was sore, but I'm also sore from stitches.  And all while in the hospital my back ached from the epidural.  I was a train wreck. At least I felt like I looked like one. But some people told me I didn't look too bad considering I had just had a baby.

We decided to stay in the hospital our two days to get a good nights rest and get situated with everything and because I was still pretty sore.  I am SO glad we decided to stay that extra day.

It wasn't as bad as I thought.  IT WAS WORTH IT! :)

It was literally up until the last second we had to write it down on her birth certificate paperwork that we confidentlly committed to her name.

Introducing...

The most obedient girl ever; born on her due date! :)

Hannah Mae Duke  :)

Born April 6th, 2015
3:57am
7 lbs. 11 oz.
20.5 inches long

Just a short time after birth :)

We aren't exactly sure where she got her auburn red hair, but we are sure in LOVE with it!!
We kept joking since we both have SOME traces of red hair on both sides of our families that it would be funny and sweet if she was born with red hair but we thought, 'really what are the odds?'
And sure enough!!
We had a few visitors the first night.  My sister and niece.
And friends Kylee and Melissa (no pictures sorry)

Her daddy Loves her! :)

And in return she sure loves her daddy! :)

She is such a cute lovable sweet baby :)

I loved just holding her and watching her peacefully sleep.
She is a cuddle bug!

Going home!!

Ever since we got home from the hospital she has been an amazing eater :)

We just can't stop loving her!

I look tired but I just wasn't expecting to be in the picture.
Today has been the best day so far.  We got to get up and actually get ready for the day!
Hardly any pain today.
First Dr. appt. for Hannah

We just love our Hannah girl

She is the best thing that has happened to us!
It's still a little surreal that she is actually our little girl forever and it's not just a short term baby sitting job or something.
She is ours FOREVER and we can't wait to see what the future holds and watch her grow!!

Love,

Mike, Lanae AND Hannah  :)

APRIL :)

I'm usually a very tough gal and have pretty high pain tolerance but this pregnancy I never thought I would say how weak I was and how I wanted to just be done!!
I'm still a pretty tough woman but still never thought I would say or find myself doing any of this!!

I have never : ....

~ eaten so much milk & cereal in my life

~ chewed so much ice

~ had to pee so often

~ gotten up so many times in the middle of the night

~ been SO emotional

~ been so lazy

~ felt so unprepared and unworthy and lonely

~ gotten this much little sleep

~ wanted to go back to work so bad!!!

~ thought I'd say I would rather go through another ruptured appendix than pregnancy

~ wanted my mom more

~ slept with so many pillows

~ done laundry so often; because I only have a few articles of clothing that actually fit

~ slept in so late in my life!

~ seen Mike more excited about kids and wanting to be a dad :)  He is so excited and so sweet and ready to be a dad :)

~ counted down the days for anything like I have for this baby :)

~ "watched" so much tv during the day

~ felt so worthless not doing anything all day

~ wanted human [adult] interaction more

~ knew how much stress, emotion, and physical disability I would have and wanted my old self back SO bad; to just do the normal every tasks more easily without being restricted by some factor or another.

~ felt so fat and self-conscious about myself

~ Just wanted to be a mom so bad!

Baby Duke just arrive so we can name you, hold you, care for you and love you!!

No we are not having a boy...
(this is a picture from our 12 week appt. :)
The nurse wanted to give us an otter pop for being good )

March 2015

This month has been quite the adjustment for me, and for Mike.

Mike has been working A LOT; many long days/hours put in, busy with scouts, applying to law school, traveled to Twin Falls for our maternity pictures, and among many other things. He has been quite the superman lately and I feel bad because he hasn't gotten much sleep and when he gets home he just wants to be lazy and go to bed and I want to see him and hang out or go do something because I've been cooped up all day.  He is a studly, hard working man and I can't thank him enough.  I get emotional just talking or thinking about it.

Me: I stopped working! It's a good feeling but some days I wish I was at work; I miss the human interaction. I have tried putting the baby's room together.  I've tried cleaning the house and making dinner every night.  Some days are better than others.  I've had crazy dreams.  On top of NOT sleeping more than two-four hours tops!! So the days drag on.  But I just can't seem to take a nap.  Emotions are getting worse.  Belly is getting big, stiff, heavy, and a few people have told me my belly has dropped! That's a good sign; I guess.  I'm getting super nervous about having this baby, but I have to remind myself that EVERY woman goes through this and everyone survives just fine.  I'm considered full term but still have about three weeks until my 'due' date; any day now baby duke!

Last weekend Mike was so sweet and called a few people and organized everything and took me to the sand dunes for my 'retirement' party he has been wanting to throw for me. :)

I love bonfires :)

We had a blast just hanging out, roasting hot dogs and visiting with family and friends :)
Thanks for coming everyone!!

Me and my honey :)

After everyone left we decided to stay until the fire went out;  we were enjoying ourselves so much we didn't want to go home. We finally decided to call it a night; even though there was still a fire going.

My wonderful talented sister and a few other friends helped throw me a baby shower :)

Like I mentioned we had a blast in Twin Falls with our lovely photographer Jessie taking our maternity pictures :)    Here are a few:

I LOVE all of them!!

We (mostly Mike) are so anxious to have this baby! Mike is SO ready to meet her; he sees and feels her move inside my belly and just wants to meet her :)
Me on the other hand, yes I want to meet her but it's a bit more convenient just having her right there.  BUT I am uncomfortable so yes I'm ready for her to come into this world :)
So yes the conclusion is we are ready for her!! (Ready or not)

I know most of these things I have posted on Facebook, but I felt like I should still post them on the blog.  Every time I wanted to post on my blog my motivation just got in the way and I suddenly got overwhelmed by the task and thought why would I post just that one thought??  Then I would have a few thoughts and think ok today I'll update the blog, then I would forget what I wanted to blog about.
So I would ponder for a day or so and I would remember what I wanted to say, BUT THEN my emotions would get ahead of me and I just can't blog while being super emotional.
The days are getting harder and longer and more emotional.
Please forgive us if you don't hear from us for a few weeks again.
I'm also hoping and thinking this baby will come early.  EKK!!

* I've gotten self confidence building compliments about how cute of a pregnant woman I am :)
* We are still excited and 'ready' for her arrival!
(It may have taken ALL day and with the help of my mom and a trade in of a crib to decide on these but I can't wait to use them).

* I'm feeling big but feeling great! :)

* I'm getting kankles but learning I need to slow down and learn to sit down and put my feet up once in awhile.  Mike always tells me I'm a workaholic/busy body.
* I only have THREE days left of work before I Retire! HAHA yep that's it, I'm not going back to work, and probably not for several years.  I'm going to be a stay-at-home mom; so we are going to throw myself a RETIREMENT party!! :)
* My husband is my best friend and is going to be a extraordinary father to our sweet little girl :)

* We still don't have a name and need more ideas! Every name I throw at him we don't feel good about. She might be a nameless girl, hmm...
* We will be a poor happy family in a few weeks  :)

Like I said after next week I will not be working and be a stay-at-home mother and I can't wait!
It's a very bitter sweet feeling to not be working after next week, But I know it will be the right thing for me to do.

February

Is the month for love right? Well you better get your special someone something special!!
http://www.marykay.com/naesmiles
Please help my with my personal goal of getting a $250 order this month!!

Well besides waiting for this baby to come, this year has seemed to be a year of reflection and learning my self confidence and controlling emotions .  I obviously have a lot to learn since almost every week so far there has been a lesson/something to learn.  Today it was controlling my emotions, I think; at work there was some frustration in scheduling and charting patient notes and as my boss was talking to all of us at the end of the day I felt my tears coming, but I held them back.  I thought I can't do this now in front of everyone! How ridiculous would that be.  It's a silly task to cry about.  Oh boy 8 more weeks, I can do this...Right?

I know I look QUITE SILLY, don't laugh; but this is me feeling lonely, stressed, overwhelmed,  excited, happy, and emotionally ready for her to arrive! :)

I have been wanting to write on my blog for a few days now and now I can't remember exactly what I was going to say.  I just remember thinking oh ya that would be a good blog post. Dang oh well. Pregnancy brain, ugh...

12 Pregnancy updates:

1) About a month ago I went to my Dr appt. and he said I had gained about 5 lbs in three/four weeks! YIKES! That put me over the edge.  He said continue to move around a lot and exercise, do pilates, yoga, walk, whatever.  I took that to heart maybe a little too much.  It got me quite depressed about myself and about my weight. I told my husband I was very concerned and didn't like how I would gain like 5 lbs every few weeks.  I didn't do anything come my next appt and I had gained like 3-5 more lbs!! AHH! Ok this is NOT cool! So my next day off I spent about 30 minutes trying to find the best prenatal pilates/yoga videos.  I did it and felt great! :) I did it about four times before my next appt. (yesterday) and I LOST a pound! Yay! I thought. But the Dr's thoughts were not the same; he was concerned and asked if I had been sick and feeling ok.  I said oh ya I feel fine, no sickness here.  He said ok.  But the words never came out to tell him what I had been doing.  I don't know why. So we will see how my next appt. goes.
2) She has been teh busiest busy body ever! Tuesday she was going CraZy all day! Which was fun but also annoying. And today she has been the same way.  I'm not sure how to think about that; is she going to be that way when she gets here??
3) I'm finding it hard to keep my belly covered, haha. I think it's time to find some true maternity shirts and pants. haha
4) I get SO tired these days. It didn't hit me til this week. It's only Wed. and I'm SOO ready for the weekend.  And I have this whole month left to work, ugh haha. I shouldn't complain.
5) I can't wait to meet her!! And neither can Mike! I just LOVE hearing him tell everyone just HOW STOKED and EXCITED he is to meet her.
6) My life is going to change so much I'm not ready.  In fact, I think about it as I go grocery shopping and just run errands, I panic for a second and think oh no!I forgot my baby in the car.  Then I look down or just feel my belly and realize she is with me, I didn't forget her.
7) I really just want my sleep comfort back.
8) I don't know if I know how to take care of a baby. I'm so worried for when I come home after the hospital.  I know kids well, but only if they are about 1 year and up.  I don't know babies.  I'm very frightened for myself. Mom?....
9) Life is about to get busy. Very busy. and Very 'not my normal' schedule.  It will be quite an adjustment.  I don't know if I can picture myself with a baby yet.  It's still so weird to me.
10) I can't wait to meet her and give her a name and see how my husband interacts with her.  He told me at church on Sunday that he was going to be a baby hog.  I said, "yes, I know" and he just laughed and said ya it will also be a good excuse. And then I just laughed at him.  First thought; I NEED HAVE to get a Moby wrap so I can hold her all the time and say sorry she's cozy and sleeping mwahaha (Is that too mean of a thought)??
11) I have like nothing! a few baby outfits.  Two dresses. One blanket. A few random things and that's it!  Oh boy I need to get shopping!! yikes!
12)  I better enjoy my last few days alone, and get all those projects done (HAHA).  And
WE NEED A NAME FOR BABY DUKE!!

Thanks for reading (if you made it this far). I figure I need to start writing down all of these fun crazy baby thoughts before I get too busy.

We are "ready" for her to arrive!!

Love the Dukes :)

January 2015

Can you believe January is over?! I sure can't.  But I'm kind of relieved that it is.

This year started out quite stressful and interesting for us. It started with me only part time (my own choice).  Mike's work had some stress related problems with his paychecks and with our health insurance that we barely, Finally got resolved this week.  But we have our heads up and are looking forward and can now relax knowing that all of that is behind us.

This year has been harder for me physically at work and I am SO glad I made the choice to only work part time for a few more months before our baby girl arrives! :) It has been such a blessing to only work part time.  I work at an Orthodontist office and lean over all day and am up and down in my chair all day and we are a very busy office so it's been the best decision I made.

I am also blessed to know all of our family and friends have been such a huge support for me and have already voiced their excitement, helpful words, and help for after the baby's arrival.  I'm not even worried about us after her arrival; we will be well taken care of :)  Thank you everyone!!

It makes me happy and teary-eyed when Mike talks about how BADLY he wants to just meet her and hold her, and loves seeing her kick and feeling her.  He is going to be the best dad!!

Today was the first day I think emotions of the pregnancy finally got to me.  I started off ready to kick off the day until I ate breakfast and sat down.  Then all my body and mind wanted to do was just sit there and do nothing.  I knew that today wasn't going to be as productive as I imagined it would be last night.

But hey that's ok.  I had to just keep telling myself that.  I only have a few days left ALL BY MYSELF and I need to enjoy them.  I texted Mike and that is exactly what he told me, and quite honestly what I needed to hear.  It helped me just relax and enjoy my day off.  I worked out doing some pilates and the baby kicked me after I was done.  I'll take that as in she enjoyed it :)

I've been blessed with no food cravings. And no major hot flashes.  Unless the room is Very hot; like the temple was the other night; holy cow.  We were doing Sealings and the Sealer had to open the door for me to let some cool air in and I had to move near the door, with a napkin folded up to fan me.  Sounds worse than it really was.  But that was the worst, and only second, hot flash I have had while pregnant.

We have also found that if I listen to music close to my belly she starts having fun!  I truly think we might have a dancer :)
We have also learned that spicy food is out of the diet for awhile.  I got sick at work yesterday eating a few spicy chips, so I had to stop.
She also reacts when I eat sweets/sugar.  She is going to be a sweet girl ;) ;)  haha
She is going better at letting me fall asleep.  But she doesn't like it when I lay on my right side; ever! haha.
She has never woken me up at night; except a few trips to the bathroom.  But even then I could probably count them on the same hand.
She doesn't like it when I drive sitting up.  She starts kicking me so I have to slouch like a gangster when I drive half the time.

It will be interesting to compare these notes in a few months after she arrives! :)

We have also learned she doesn't have a name yet...so any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

Love, The Dukes

Just one question...

Well since last post I have been thinking a lot about what I said and kind of embarrassed that I published it to the public, and trying to change and redirect my thinking on life.

I have been thinking like a writer; ok I don't really know how they think, but I have been thinking how and what I will say in my next post which I knew I needed to write soon before people got too scared and worried about me.  Like I said it was probably a short lived idea of a day and I'm over those harsh feelings. So tonight I wanted to focus on the good I've had lately and things I'm just so thankful for.

I'm feeling quite accomplished and proud of myself.  I've had a great work week with some amazing co-workers!  They always know just what to say and how to make me laugh and enjoy each day even though it may be a crazy day with patients, parents, work drama etc.   They know how to Always make it fun!!  :)

I'm so thankful for my warm, safe house I live in.

I'm thankful my husband and I have great jobs with great benefits and great co-workers. My husband works really hard to provide.  I can't be more thankful and grateful.

I am SO ETERNALLY GRATEFUL for my amazing, handsome, helpful, thoughtful (should I keep going??), sexy husband!  He wakes up every morning to make sure I get a good hearty breakfast AND makes me a healthy lunch in a small brown bag that he hands me as I walk out the door, with a kiss on the cheek and those three small loving words with a smile on his face :)  I couldn't ask for anything better!! And let me tell you those lunches are DELICIOUS! I just feel so bad I can't return the favor as often.  He is such a good sport about it all and doesn't complain.  I have fallen more in love with him by him doing that :)  Poor guy half the time I don't even make dinner.  He makes two meals a day for me and I can barley make one meal for him!! I hope I can get better at that.

                              My hot husband :)

I also have to be so grateful and thankful my employer is understanding about my needs and wants.  The other day was a rough day for as far as pain and rushed work ethic and I was just feeling beat.  I had to work the next day and it was only going to be two of us working with a full half day of patients. I just didn't want to let him down and put us all behind, so I texted him and explained that it was a rough day for me and that I felt bad and if there was any way he could ask one more person to help us on that half day of work.  And he did.  No questions asked.  He just texted back and said, 'Done'.

I feel pretty good during this pregnancy.  I count my blessing every day about my pregnancy going so well.  I was only sick for a short time and since then it's been making the adjustment to fitting into my clothes and sleeping well.  I've always wondered why people always ask pregnant ladies, 'how are you feeling?' I just think that's kind of a silly question.  But as I'm nearing that stage of uncomfortable, can't sleep stage I understand it better.  But I still don't understand it completely.  Maybe  I'm just blessed.  The only thing I have to complain about is getting to sleep and sleeping well like I used to.  But it really isn't TERRIBLE. Ya it's frustrating I can't fall asleep as fast or as well, but I still can't complain that much.  These past few months have been the hardest on me; and my husband; but it probably won't get any better once she is here.  But really I feel well and am doing well :)  I really just want to meet her and just have her here.  My wonderful husband keeps saying things like; "I can't wait to dress her for church, I just want to meet that feisty girl kicking her mom." Or "Is it weird that I just want to meet her?" He is SO BEYONG excited and it warms my heart and makes me feel calm and at peace knowing he wants to meet her so bad.  I know he is going to be a Marvelous father and enjoy every second of her :) She already has him wrapped around her finger :) I love it!!

Every time I have a funny story about our little girl; how she kicks me while I drive, how much movement she has compared to some days; like right now I swear she doing gymnastics; the crazy dreams I have; like my brother going to jail for no reason and my mom not signing the papers to release him because she didn't know where or how to sign them. Or the hurt my stomach feels, the hunger I feel, the amount of food I eat, the list goes on!  I keep thinking man I need to be documenting all this!!! So my question is; IS IT TOO LATE TO DOCUMENT ALL OF THIS BABY STUFF IN A JOURNAL of some sort??
Maybe I should start one before I get too overwhelmed or drowned in my baby's love and life :)

Mike and I just having fun in SLC

We might be addicted to cruises....

Well I felt like I needed to update you all who read that last post and put you at ease knowing I'm doing well and have no more sad feelings.

I truly am happy and healthy and can't wait to meet our little girl in a few months!! It seems so far away!! I just want to meet her now and hold her.  Im getting anxious.

Love the Dukes :)

2015...

I hesitate actually posting this because this might just be a very short temporarily thing that doesn't really need to be revealed and announced but I figure it's safe for the blog...

Why don't people hold up their end of a bargain?
I don't know. I don't get it.
I don't have patience for it.
But I don't want to be the nagging friend, wife etc.
How do I get over it? How do I get them to hold up their end of the deal?

Sorry, that is what is on my mind today.  But 2015 started off on the wrong foot...

Today I woke up wanting to have motivation, so I encouraged myself to get to that point.  What came next? It lasted for about 3 hours.  Then things just went down hill.  So I sit here tearing my self apart on the inside and trying to hold back the bucket of tears because I know I'm probably being silly and I don't want my husband to know because I need/want to be strong for him.  I don't know if it's because of how this week has gone spirally down or if it's this pregnancy.

I just know I don't know what to say or what to do to get out of this.

I'm excited for my baby girl and sometimes wish she was just here.  But other times it's nice to always have her with me and know she is safe.

I want to be better at a lot of things and don't know where to start.  Maybe that's my problem.
I want to start projects but am afraid to get too far into them thinking something is going to come up and interrupt me and then it will never get done.  Maybe that's my problem.
I want to be a better house cleaner but it hurts to do certain chores so i just leave it dirty.  Maybe that's my problem.
I want to work out, but why? I haven't done anything all day and I'm still clean from my shower and don't want to shower again.  Maybe that's my problem.  I want to cook a good home cooked meal, but I don't know what to make.  Maybe that's my problem.
I want to be a better business woman selling my Mary Kay but feel like it's just going down the drain and nobody wants/needs anything and I don't know how to pick up business. Maybe that's my problem.
Maybe it's because I feel like I can't do anything or go anywhere Because I Am pregnant.
Maybe I'm too picky and OCD about life and certain things.

I don't know what my problem is but today has been a long, pacing the house wondering what to do, eating everything, feeling depressed kind of day and I just don't know what to do.  And I feel like I'm bringing my husband down as well.  I don't want to do anything.  I don't want to get ready for the day to do anything.  But I want to get out of the house to say I at least got out of my house this weekend and did SOMETHING.

But I have to count my many blessings and know I'm watched over, have a safe warm house with EVERYTHING I could ever possibly need inside [and more], with a good husband :)

I know I'm not perfect and never will be but I try to be my best.  But sometimes the best comes over me and some days you just need to relax and stay inside; I understand that, but I worry it's not just one of those days.

But maybe it's time to go close that closet door that never got closed a few minutes ago (my OCD), and sit and cry it out.  Then start over tomorrow. Because after all it is Sunday; a day or renewal. I should get my motivation back and be ready to conquer this next week and be that better person on the inside and out and be a better business woman with my Mary Kay business!!

Sorry for being so negative.  Thanks for all your support.

www.marykay.com/naesmiles  :)   There's that smile I've been missing all day! :)

This week's happenings...

This week has been quite the eventful week for Mike and I....

I have been sick all week; with this, that and the other, but mostly a stuffy nose and a cough. It's been kind of miserable. (because if you know me I NEVER get sick).  Mike has also been a tad sick, working hard, trying to apply for school and trying to take care of me.
He's such a wonderful husband :)

This morning we; Mike, my sister and I; ran in a local fun run -The Turkey Trot and had a blast! I started off running but once I stopped I had to use the facilities! All bathrooms at the park were closed :( next option Jimmy John's,...the door was open so I ran in!  I think we scared the girl working alone.  I got half way through the race and needed to go again!! I just had to make it to the end.  I did. Barely. Oh pregnancy.

                My sister did AWESOME!!

 During the race...
 We finished!! (with no accidents)

Even though it took us forever and I held us back it was fun to get out in the crisp air and exercise with my husband :)

Yesterday on the other hand was the biggest day we have had in awhile and were looking forward to it for several months.
Yesterday was our Dr. appt. to find out the gender of our little person growing so well inside of me :)

It's...........

Happy Halloween

This year has been a very busy one for us and I'm so behind on our blog, but it will get better soon :)

We are still in the process of downloading and organizing all of our pictures.

We have been on a Caribbean cruise, been to a Carrie Underwood concert (with some adventures mixed in), The Piano Guys, and many other fun things in between :)

This Summer we were busy driving back and forth to Boise for some reason or another :) We love to be busy and spend time together but we also like to just be home and get things done at home and enjoy being lazy....

Again ALL pictures coming soon! :)

About two weeks ago Mikes car decided it had had enough so we had to hurry and find and buy a car; we were lucky and blessed to find one we liked and get approved and have all papers signed in about three days :)

Toyota Avalon '08

Every morning on the way to work I get the pleasure of  driving down Main Street and seeing the sunrise with the beautiful Tetons in the foreground of the sunrise :) I wish I had our nice camera every morning to get all the beautiful sunrises in this gorgeous part of eastern Idaho.
This one I just couldn't pass up not taking, so I took my phone out and snapped a picture while at a stop light :)

I just love this scene every morning,
You can't really see the Tetons very well but they are right on the horizon in the middle of the picture.

Sometimes I drive forty minutes to work and get to see this...

After months of hard studying the day finally came for Mike to take the LSAT (law school admission test) back on Sept. 27th.  This is him the night before the test doing a few minutes of studying before going to bed early.  He has his test bag packed and ready to go...

And finally,....one last catch up post...

Last night for Halloween we were going to carve some pumpkins, make pizza and watch a scary movie.  But as we got to the store we decided it was a little too late [in the season] to carve, so we got some food and two movies.
We made a yummy Halloween pizza and watched The Fault In Our Stars (which Mike really enjoyed) and then I went to bed while Mike watched his scary movie.

While eating dinner we thought of our Halloween outfits, so we hurried and ate and made our costumes :)

Sorry ladies...

 Spider man is Taken ;)

And then there's my costume...
