Thoughts going through my head

Just when things could happen so perfect something else gets in your way that is more important that you have to tend to, so that 'most important' thing you were going to do has to be put on the back burner. oh Life.
Just when I get my taxes back knowing exactly what I was going to spend that money on, car problems/fix-its come up, and of course cost more than you thought and they take up your tax return, therefore other things have to wait. oh joy. life gets in your way sometimes.

And just when you get things organized things decide to crash; yep my computer crashed. So now I get to decide if I want to get a new laptop, Ipad, or kindle/nook. What would you get? again tax return gets to go towards that too. oh boy oh boy. so now sadly there is no money left for that one thing I was going to treat myself with; my very own bike! :(

Lately it seems like every fireside, RS meeting, or other large gathering I have been to has had a theme. It's been a good theme. But it's also been a thought pondering theme. I hope I can take those lessons and apply them to my life this year. So it makes me wonder if this conference might have that same theme. or maybe its just a theme for me. feeling a little uneasy about listening to it, not sure I'm ready to hear it. but, like always, its what you/we/I need to hear.

The joys of mascara

A few years back I kept getting puffy eyes about once a week or so. Then it became more common. So I finally went in to see a family friend doctor and he gave me some eye drops to try. They worked wonders for those ten days! Then about a week or so later, the puffy eyes came back. I would just keep my eyes washed and cleaned and they would stay down for the most part. Well, I just could take it one day and I kept rubbing my eyes because it was SO bad! I went back to see this family friend doctor and he gave me different eyes drops. same story. Well we finally figured out, after talking through the order of events etc., that is was my mascara! I am allergic to mascara!! (well not exactly mascara it's self, just an ingredient in mascara. don't ask me what it's called because I don't remember. I just know the mascaras I can't use.) So I sadly had to change the mascara I used (I loved the mascara I used). The next day I went to the store and bought a brand new mascara. Didn't like it. Tried a different one. It took me about a year to find THE mascara that wouldn't irritate my eyes. But I seem to have run into that same problem lately. uh oh. now what am I going to do? A girl clearly can not go with out mascara! We shall see how things work out. my eyes are puffy right now and very irritating and itchy and dry. I better tend to those so I can go to work tomorrow. Hopefully a new day will be better. If not...to the trash goes my mascara!

thoughts....

I think it might be time to start Pintrest...as much as I don't like being with the fads and such I think I need to break down so I can keep track of all my ideas and add new ideas to my ideas; if that makes any sense. But the thing is I will want to do a lot of the things I see so I will have to start saving money like no other so I can afford my new 'addiction', if you can call it that.

Going along with money and such,....I have about four trips I want to go on this year and I'm not quite sure how I'm going to do it. I really need to work for the airlines! Everyone keeps telling me that, and I keep telling myself that, but I love what I do too much to step away from it just to get a free flight whenever and wherever I want....mom, want to work for the airlines???? haha. Ok, ok, maybe I'll figure out a way to do both things; the thing I love and the thing I am totally addicted to, TRAVELING! Any suggestions on how to do and go on all these trips I want and need to do?? Maybe I'll be looking for a job at the airport soon. :)

money. money. money.

Well Feb 14......car won't start. One week later I finally got it into the shop. The next day they tell me my fuel pump went out. And that my choices are to wait a week to order the part and get it fixed or over night the part for an extra $60 and have my car in two days. Joy.
So I called three people to see what I should do. Two days later I had my car and an empty savings account. Where is my money tree?!
Now that I have that done with and no money, why don't I go ahead and pay off all my other debts; tires, medical bill, this bill, that bill. Perfect. Now I'm really broke, now what?
Well I feel a little better now that I'm pretty caught up on my bills and debts, But SO SICK to my stomach that I had to drop ALL my money in a week's time.
Just glad I have a job and that I can slowly earn it back; but still!!

One word

What is one word that best describes me?

Saturday, February 4, 2012

This weekend I decided to come home and see mom and dad. Well I offered to bring one of my sisters kids with me, and the only one she offered was little Emily, 2 years old. I said sure whatever. So we packed and were off. She did great the first half of the trip talking, watching out the window, listening, reading books, eating snacks, perfect back seat rider you could ask for!
We were driving along and we saw a train, I said, "Emily look at that long train!" I saw her look at it and she thought it was cool! Then I heard liquid and I thought she spilled her water she was then drinking. I looked back (with the help of my other rider Melyssa) she said, "uh oh" I said, "oh no did she spill her water?" She said "no she threw up, and oh there she goes again." A few seconds go by and she says "oh there is more. oh no here you go." Poor Melyssa was helping Emily throw up in the ONE bag we had in the car. Luckily, we were just hitting Glenns Ferry and I took the exit and stopped as well and as fast as I could right off the exit and she had just finished throwing up and we stopped for about twenty minutes to clean up as best as we could so we could hurry home and be in more comfortable settings if she needed to be sick and/or throw up again. Luckily we were able to clean up Most of the mess. And thankfully I am a boy scout and prepared and had wipes and Germ-X in the car! ;) we drove as fast as we could to get to my mom's house to clean up ourselves, and wash our hands and clothes, and the car.
It was an eventful ride, but fun. Just remember it could of been worse!
I feel so bad for my friend Melyssa that was riding with me and had to deal with that. I hope she was able to get thoroughly cleaned up when I dropped her off.
Poor Emily has been so lonely (asking for "Lila" aka older sister Lydia to play with),and bored and sad and homesick this weekend. But she is still having fun and being spoiled :)
She can't wait to get home and see her mom :)

Taxes

So tax season is upon us, and I always dread doing my taxes. And wish I could claim more people and things to get WAY more money back, but I guess I can't complain too much; at least I don't have to PAY taxes.
So Turbo tax; fast, easy, free, get more money back, etc. etc. right?! not with my luck! stupid thing!
It wanted to charge me an extra $29.95, so some crazy total of about $57.92, but wait I thought it was FREE?? I was pretty upset so I found their number on the website and waited on the phone for about 25-30 minutes to talk to some girl with a southern accent that spoke fast and said "ok" in every sentence. annoying. THEN when I finally got the answer I needed out of her, the phone call got disconnected!! Told you, just my luck; no good luck ever for me!
I'm not sure if I will be using turbo tax again, BUT it did give me extra money I otherwise would not have gotten back, but not a ton to make that much of a difference.
I swear I have the worst luck in the world! I never find amazing deals!! :(

Needless to say I finished my taxes and I sure hope I get back what it told me I would be getting. My luck I won't. This year has already started out crappy.

Happy taxes everyone! Hope your luck is better than mine!

Why...

Why is there no snow? (not complaining)
Why am I so poor?
Why do I have so many crafty ideas? I love accomplishing things with my hands.
Why am I doing this?
Why do I have a great family?!! :)
Why did I do that?
Why do I love music so much?
Why do I wish and need to do that SO bad?! Looks like I have a few goals this year!
Why am I always cold?
Why am I so shy?
Why do I love being social yet being so shy at the same time?
Why is someone always better at something than me?
Why do we always have excuses?
Why do I judge myself so harshly?
Why do I compare myself to celebrities and other family and friends?
Why do I love kids so much?
Why do I love my nieces and nephews SO much?
Why do I have a need to keep in contact with everyone I meet?
Why do I not do this or that?
Why do I want to help every suffering child I see or meet? I want to volunteer and/or adopt suffering children from around the world.

I would love to do this and that and that and that....etc.
I have several goals for this year and I hope I can accomplish them all; well most of them.
I have a yearning to learn and accomplish a few things in my life and I just hope this year I can get started on those few things. I just wish some things didn't get in the way or that accomplishing them you never ran into problems, boy, wouldn't that be nice. I wish things could go as we planned. But we have a purpose in life and Heavenly Father has a plan for us and it works out perfect in the end.
I love my life and love my family and friends!

Happy 2012 :)

2011 Christmas

This year I was able to have a few days off work and go home early before Christmas. I left wed. morning (Dec 21) and came back to Idaho Falls a week later (Dec 27), which felt so good.
I promised myself that I was just going to go home and hang out with my parents and other family, and my best friend, and just have fun and do a few crafts. because usually I manage to make a day full of appointments of this and that.
Wed. I got home right when mom was getting off work so we hung out at home that night and waited for dad to show up after work. We caught up and just relaxed.
Thurs. I slept in, then got dressed and put on my blue and orange! made one small needed appointment. came back home and cleaned and organized my messy room; all day. That night we went to my Uncles for a fun family get together for the BSU bowl game! GO BSU BRONCOS!!
Fri. slept in again. then mom and I hung out again and baked, did a little shopping. Later that night we went to my grandparents house for the Ward family Christmas party. We were able to have a few of the cousins from college and that live a little farther away be there; but we were still missing almost half the family! My younger cousin was asked to put together a little program and she did a great job. Her and her little sister played the piano and violin. my other younger cousin read the scripture story of Christs birth. We also had the Elders say a few words and sing a Christmas duet for us (the Elders live in my grandparents basement). The little cousins also acted out the nativity. We were also privileged to hear some fun Christmas memories from my grandpa's childhood. It's always fun to hear how things were 'back then' and how my grandpa grew up :) We ate yummy food and chatted and laughed til late :)
Sat. hung out with mom and dad. For dinner we were able to have my little brother over and my older brother and his pregnant wife over for more yummy homemade food!! Mom, dad and I stayed up later than we should of watching movies and anticipating Santa's arrival.
Sun. we kind of slept in. Got dressed. ate breakfast. Then slowly made it to the living room to open gifts. Since it was only the three of us that morning we were able to take our time and enjoy our gifts. It took us about tow hours. We then realized what time it was and hurried to get ready for one p.m. church and enjoyed meeting people in my parents new ward and listening to the Christmas program.
Mon. mom and I had to run to the store to get a few needed things. When we got home I quickly got my new sewing machine out and started my first project! It took me The Whole Day!! It took longer than I thought it would, but I had so much fun!! I actually love sewing and can't wait to make SO many things on it!! By the end of the night I was realizing how much more I had to get done; packing etc. before I wanted to leave by 10am the next morning. That night I think I was up until 3am making sure my project was done enough so take it back with me. but heck you mine as well finish it. so I did.
Tues. morning I had a tooth appointment. But that appointment lead to another a very unexpected one. but then realized, again, I had so much to do before I had to leave. All day Tues. I did exactly what i promised I would NOT do...appointments. I was running all across town trying to get and do last minute things. Right before I was to leave I looked down and up and down and up again, reading my oil change sticker, and thinking, yep I HAVE to get the done before I drive four more hours...so there goes another hour!! I did not leave until 3:30pm Tues. but that is ok. Safety and preparation is better than being selfish. I made good time back to Idaho Falls. I had to work the next two days up in Rexburg, so I had to get up Early. But it turned out to go very smoothly.
All in all I had a great relaxing Christmas, hanging out with family and friends and mom and dad. I sure missed everyone I was not able to spend it with and or see.
Love you!
(sorry I was too lazy and just having fun spending quality time with everyone that I didn't take a single picture)

2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I first have to thank everyone; family and friends, close and far; who made 2011 a great year!
This new years was a little different from last years...I was tired by 8pm, but some how managed to stay up til about 12:30am. I was watching a Red Box movie and was not paying attention to the time, until my sister looked at her phone and realized the new year came about 20 minutes prior. We said Happy New Year, finished the movie then zonked to our pillows; because of course this year church is at 9am. we barely made it.
Today I had my day planned out: church, eat finger food, nap (a long time), dinner, sleep.
Well, like always plans never go liked hoped. So it ended up like: church, finger food (all afternoon), sewing project while watching two church movies, put my Christmas decor away, clean room, more unnecessary finger food, and play with the kids all in between. Still a productive day, I guess. I just wish I would let myself take naps. hopefully some day.
I'm thinking this new year has some good things in it! :)

Meridian, ID Temple

I heard the GREATEST news EVER today!!
Today the location of the Meridian, ID temple was announced;
The new Meridian, ID Temple will only be a few short steps from my house in Meridian!!
I am so excited to be able to walk to the temple when I want and see the temple every day through the windows from my house!!
It is the greatest feeling to know that we have the Lord on our side and that we have been so righteous, and are blessed to have this sacred building just a few blocks away!
No words can describe what a joy and blessing it will be to watch the temple being built and realize it is practically in my backyard!!
I love the temple and can't wait for all the exciting events to take place during the building process. I can't thank the Lord enough of how happy and joyful and what a blessing this is!!

Here is the link of the announcement and location:

Our Christmas Tree

Remember how Mike and I bought a Christmas tree like three weeks ago and I decided it was too late to put it up?...Well...I finally decided it wasn't too late to get out and put together, and decorated it with all my new ornaments!! :)

Star placement

Tree without ornaments...

My pretty Christmas tree all decorated

Mike was not able to help me put together and decorate the tree because he was/is SO BUSY with finals this week :(

(Sorry about the ugly, scary look I'm presenting. I had just taken out my hair etc. and was in the middle of getting ready for bed when I decided to start).
Gotta love the random time of day you decide to start tackling projects.

Letters..

DEAR SANTA,

(we wrote letters to Santa and put them in the North Pole mailbox at Macy's)
I love seeing the kids so excited around Christmas time with all the fun things they get to do and all the fun service we get to participate in :) I love kids!

Sleigh bells ring...

The other day the next town over was offering free hot chocolate. free photo booth pictures. free visit with Santa. and FREE sleigh rides!! We, of course, jumped on that deal!! And had a blast!!

It was a gorgeous cold winter warm day (yep you read that right)

Sarah and Emily LOOOVED every second!!

All Bryant wanted to do was sit up front with the 'real cowboy' (because he is a cowboy too, duh)

And the rest of us enjoyed it too! :)

Our sleigh ride

GirLs...and boys....

My nieces lOOve trying on my shoes.
I had just bought a few new fun pairs of shoes and they just had to try them on, of course! :)

My newest nephew is learning at an early age... He is growing up SO fast!

and friends depart...

A few weeks ago Mike and I were going shopping. We had gone to Walmart first to look for what we needed and they didn't have it! (I thought Walmart had everything!??). He decided it was too cold to walk to Albertson's (right next door) to look; so we hopped in the car and drove two car lanes over and parked again. We got out of the car and Mike had something stuck to his foot. He kept walking thinking it would come out. But he kept walking and it kept staying. He turned around and looked at me and said, "This bag is stuck in my shoe! and it won't come out!" I immeditely burst in laughter and couldn't stop!! In the middle of my nonstop giggles I said, "WAIt, Wait, I HAVE to take a picture!! Hold on a second" He walked slower while I bust out my camera and tried to take a picture. I decided it wasn't good enough and Had to take another one because this bag was just NOT letting go!! He finally bent over and took the bag out.

We shopped and found what we needed. As we were walking out the door the bag that used to be his best friend was still waiting at the door for us. We literally had to jump over the bag so it would not latch onto either of us!!

Mike laughed SO hard with me! :)

P.S. we still have NO idea where this bag came from and how it got stuck to his foot and how we didn't notice until he got out of the car!!

Christmas cheer

Ok it's almost Christmas and I have not bought or made anything off my shopping list. I'm in big trouble. Good thing Santa produces miracles! (love that man!)
Last year I think I was finished by October/November. And it felt good. This year not only was I done early I knew what I was getting everyone. And they were sweet gifts! This year.....nothing. no ideas. not as much time. not as much money. Yet Christmas is only days away!! HeLp!
I still need gifts for my parents. Mike (the one I'm stressed out about the most). and my oldest brother.
Anybody have any ideas?!?! I desperately need help!!

I also thought this year I needed a little extra Christmas spirit in my room, so I had my brother Justin pick my up some white Christmas lights from Home Depot that I strung around my window. But if you have lights you can't stop there, you need a tree too! So last weekend I asked Mike to take me to Walmart so I could buy a tree. We found a tree. Then we decided you can't just buy a tree. So we looked for some ornaments to match my cute tree. We searched for the 'perfect' ornaments, and finally spotted to cutest red and silver ones. Well you can't just buy a tree and one package of ornaments. You need a star too. The silver star was the perfect match for this cute little tree :) But Mike just couldn't let me go with just one small box of small ornaments. He led me to another aisle of cute ornaments and picked out some hanging glittered snowmen. But you can't just have two kinds of ornaments. He also picked out a matching red string of shiny garland. He was then satisfied. :)
(I have not yet had time to put together our beautiful Christmas tree) :(

Hope you are enjoying this Christmas season :)
